Beth provided the Board with an update regarding the current affairs of the Brevard County UF/IFAS Extension. A date has yet to be determined for the farm tour, but is expected to take place in the next few months. The Brevard County Board of County Commissioners is expected to present a resolution for Agriculture Day at the March 26th board meeting.

Chuck provided the Board with an update on the EQIP program. Due to the current volatility in the federal government budgeting process, there is a possibility that a portion of the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) staff may be furloughed in the coming days if a budget is not agreed upon. In addition, Congress appropriating by the use of continuing resolutions makes long term planning for the NRCS nearly impossible.

Upon consensus of the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 5:03 p.m.
