Brevard Soil and Water Conservation District Minutes
The Brevard Soil and Water Conservation District met in regular session on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at 4:00 p.m., in the 4-H Conference Room, UF/IFAS Extension Brevard County, 3695 Lake Drive, Cocoa, Florida.
The meeting was called to order by the Chair, Bud Crisafulli, at 4:00 p.m.
Board members present were: Bud Crisafulli; Henry Minneboo; Jonathan Schuman; and James Sloan.
Approval of March 13, 2019, Minutes
Motion by Henry, seconded by Jim, to approve the minutes of March 13, 2019. The vote passed unanimously.
Approval of Treasurer’s Report for the Period of March 13, 2019 – April 9, 2019
Motion by Henry, seconded by Jonathan, to approve Treasurer’s report as presented. The vote passed unanimously.
Old Business
The Board discussed the upcoming Farm Tour on April 29, 2019.
New Business
Bud invited everyone to the Brevard County Cattlemen’s Association annual meeting at the Knights of Columbus hall on April 17, 2019.
Sally Scalera, Extension Urban Horticulturist, spoke on the programs she implements for the UF/IFAS Extension Brevard County as a horticulture agent.
The Board discussed the annual Association of Florida Conservation Districts (AFCD) meeting happening from July 11-13, 2019 in Ocala. Motion by Jonathan, seconded by Henry, to support room, board, and registration fee for any Supervisor that attends the State AFCD meeting in July in Ocala up to $250 a person. The vote passed unanimously.
The Board discussed not having a June meeting. Motion by Henry, seconded by Jonathan, to cancel the June meeting.
Jonathan suggested the Board brainstorm next meeting and come up with a couple of goals to be completed by the end of the year.
Upon consensus of the Board, the meeting was adjourned.
